It snowed fast this morning, but all went off in the forenoon. I went to Ann Arbor and got the Photographs of Johnnie. I had the large one framed for Kate. I took dinner at J.D. Williams’. It is quite cold tonight.

Sawed wood and worked in the woods today. The ground was frozen hard this morning and it is freezing again tonight. We rehearsed a charade tonight at father Quells’. Maggie Leslie came today to make Ma’s dresses.

Worked in the woods this forenoon. Pa an I did some fixing at the vault. This afternoon I got ready for the reading circle tonight. I went on foot and Kate and Effie drove. I acted as chairman. It has frozen up again.

A man by the name of Wood preached at the church twice today. I liked him very much. Prof. Steene gave a temperance lecture at the church tonight. Irving McColl was here between services. It continues cold.

Worked in the woods some this froenoon and wtote some letters. Went over and voted at Town Meeting this afternoon, then I went to Dexter with eggs and got some things. Took supper at father Quells. I feel  nearly sick tonight, a cold.

The worst snow storm I think I ever saw has been raging all day. The banks are as high as my head in places, the wind blowing a gale from the north. Such a storm this time of the year seems unprecedented. I have been unwell all day. Have seen nobody on the road.

The weather was calm today, but the snow banks are fearful. Pa went to Delhi this forenoon after Ida, he could just get throught some places by hard work. The sun has shone today. Kate and I shied [?] up our room a little. I have not been able to get out much.

The roads are not broken yet. The day was sun shiny and pleasant, but I have been so weak that I have stayed inside all day. I tried to paint a picture to pass away the time. Did some reading about the city of St. Louis ina an old magazine.

I painted another little picture this forenoon and wrote in Ida’s album. This afternoon I went to Dexter, the roads are fearful. I was the first to go through between here and Phelp’s. Kate went along as far as her folks and I stopped there to supper. It looks stormy.

As the forlks were preparing to go the the Farmer’s meeting this forenoon Lizzie Cooper came walking from Delhi, she had left Aunt Susan there. I went over after her and took Lizzie to the train this afternoon, agian. On account of bad roads no meeting of the Reading Circle was held here tonight. Clay and Will Alexander, Will Rosier [?] and Ein [?] Martin came though.

Kate had the headache today. I walked to Ann Arbor after dinner, left my boots at the Delhi depot and put on my shoes for the rest of the way. I ahd 4 teeth pulled and my head feels sore tonight. I came back to Delhi on the train.

Had a sore bleeding mouth all day. The boys burried Grandma Kenny today. I went to Wheeler’s and bought a waw set this afternoon. Nellie was here and Kate has gone home with her. We played cards a little tonight and then sang some.

We burried Bertha and Johnnie this morning. They are now at rest in the family burying ground. Pa went to Dexter with 4 sheep which he sold. We cleaned and put up 12 [?] bu. of oats to ship Fred Neill. Kate and I have been packing up. We start tomorrow.

Kate and I came to Mt. Pleasant today. We took the cars at Ann Arbor. Pa drove down with us. I shipped Fred Neill 12 bu. of oats from A.A. by freight. Will and Georgie stevens met us at the depot. It has been a real worm day. Mrs Brown was on the train as far as Highlands. This evening is lovely.

I went to Frankfort with Fred Neills team today as he had to work on the logs at the lake. I expected to get my trees but they had not come. I took on a load of stuff for Case & Hopkins and came back --- the last few miles in a drenching rain. Kate and I took supper at Neills.

I went up town this morning so early that I had to wait for the stores to open. I called at Mr. Waters. Dug out 3 stumps this forenoon. Hung a slide gate this afternoon and repaired some fence. Fred Waters is staying here tonight. We talk of buying a horse.

Kate and I dug out 5 stumps and piled them up this forenoon. Fred Waters and I have been talking of buying a horse again today. Kate went up town this afternoon and got the mail. I cultivated the strawberries and sawed up some wood. Trimmed a few apple trees also.
